Located in the Vologne Valley, in La Bresse, this Canadian-style log cabin welcomes you to an exceptional natural setting. Facing south, on the edge of the forest, it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding woodland and an atmosphere of well-being from the moment you arrive.
As soon as you step inside, the warmth of the place is immediately apparent. Underfloor heating and the open-hearth fireplace create a cosy atmosphere that accompanies every moment of your stay, from the first cup of coffee in the morning to long evenings with the family. The living room, with its comfortable sofa, television and high-speed Wi-Fi, invites you to relax. The large dining room, with a table that seats up to 8 people, quickly becomes the heart of the chalet.
The fully equipped kitchen has been designed to ensure you have everything you need: ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, filter coffee machine, Senseo coffee machine, kettle, toaster, raclette machine, fondue set, a full set of cookware and everyday crockery.
Upstairs, three comfortable bedrooms accommodate up to 8 people. Each has a double bed (140 × 190 cm); one also has a single bed (90 × 190 cm), and another has a cot for the little ones. A mezzanine completes the space, whilst two bathrooms and two toilets ensure everyone’s comfort on a daily basis.
A washing machine and tumble dryer are also available. An end-of-stay cleaning service and linen hire can be arranged on request.
Outside, the large south-facing terrace is perfect for al fresco dining, reading in the deckchairs and moments of tranquillity with the mountains in view. Back inside, the private sauna offers deep relaxation after a day of exploring.
The owner, himself a passionate motorcyclist, will give you a warm welcome and share his top tips: must-visit mountain passes, winding roads galore... Motorcyclists understand each other — the chalet is proudly biker-friendly. A secure garage accommodates bikes and motorbikes, with a hose available for cleaning after rides.
For families, an outdoor area equipped with a trampoline, a swing, a table tennis table and table football guarantees hours of fun for children and adults alike. The chalet also features a private gym.
The chalet’s location is one of its major assets. Hikers can set off directly on foot from the chalet, towards Lac de Blanchemer for example, and enjoy the more than 300 km of marked trails in La Bresse. Cyclists will find plenty to enjoy on the mountain passes and forest trails, whether on road bikes or mountain bikes. In winter, the La Bresse-Hohneck ski resort is easily accessible, with ski hire and a winter bus stop just 150 metres away. Thrill-seekers won’t be disappointed either, with electric all-terrain scooters available nearby.
When it comes to dining, a restaurant specialising in fondues and raclettes is just 500 metres away — a real treat after a day in the mountains. Every morning, a bakery service delivers fresh bread directly to the chalet, for breakfasts that smell of the mountains.
