The Schantzwasen hostel, situated at an altitude of 1096 metres, is surrounded by fir trees and high stubble fields. It mainly welcomes hikers, families and skiers in winter. The inn's menu features local mountain produce, and regional traditions follow the seasons to welcome you all year round. For lunch and dinner, whether you're on a hike or just looking for a pleasant moment around the table, the inn serves tasty dishes from a genuine home kitchen. The dormitory rooms reflect the tradition of mountain hospitality, with their simplicity, comfort and authentic spirit. On-site visit to the reindeer farm. These animals, originally from Nordic countries, can be seen if you buy your tickets on site at the Ferme aux Rennes. There are around twenty reindeer on the farm. As the hostel is located in the mountains, it is advisable to contact them by telephone to find out about opening times and road conditions.
